The first Swirlies glyph was sketched on a paper napkin — a single flourish, the kind of mark a calligrapher makes when the pen is warm and the hand is thinking faster than the mind. That mark became a font. The font became a family. The family became fourteen.
Each font in the PR Swirlies collection is a set of deployable ornaments — corner pieces, extenders, borders, swashes, and flourishes drawn from the Western calligraphic tradition. They work alone or together. They dress a page the way a good frame dresses a painting.
